Pheasants Forever Education

Pheasants Forever chapter youth events, including youth mentored pheasant hunts, help youngsters develop knowledge and passion for the outdoors, and plant the seed for the conservationists of tomorrow.

Pheasants Forever chapter youth events, including youth mentored pheasant hunts, help youngsters develop knowledge and passion for the outdoors, and plant the seed for the conservationists of tomorrow.

All of our efforts today will have little purpose tomorrow if we don't have a constituency that cares about the mission of Pheasants Forever. That's why our education and youth programs are so important!

As part of a national movement to get kids unplugged from electronics and turned on to the outdoors, PF has created the NO CHILD LEFT INDOORS® initiative. Our goal is to take every opportunity at the national, state and local level to introduce youth and their families to the outdoors; teach them about habitat, wildlife and how to hunt; instill an appreciation of natural resources and encourage them to be conservation-minded citizens.

Learn about all of the ways you can be involved and what PF chapters are doing to make sure no child is left indoors!

Winner of Pheasants Forever & Quail Forever's National Youth Leadership Winner’s Choice Raffle Announced

And the winner is: Mitch Bitz from Bismarck, North Dakota. Mitch purchased his raffle ticket at the North Dakota State Habitat Meeting from National Youth Leadership Council Representative Shawna Pantzke.

PF & QF's National Youth Leadership Council is a select group of young people from around the country that represent their age group on issues related to hunting and wildlife conservation. These young conservation leaders play a significant role in wildlife conservation and habitat management at the local level and promote PF & QF's No Child Left Indoors initiative. The NYLC's annual fundraising efforts help fund the NYLC's activities, training and participation in the mission of PF & QF.

If you know a young conservation leader who may be interested in joining this elite group of conservation leaders, contact Rich Wissink, National Youth Program Specialist at 715-722-0286 or rwissink@pheasantsforever.org. Congratulations Mitch!

BSA Youth Protection Training

This on-line training has been developed by Boy Scouts of America (BSA) for volunteers involved in youth venturing programs. They have agreed to allow Pheasants Forever (PF) & Quail Forever (QF) volunteers to access this training as an "external organization" as part of our Youth Protection Guidelines. We thank them for their spirit of cooperation and shared goal of getting kids outdoors. Click here to enter the BSA training course.
